I've had my car since February of 2014 and the creaking and cracking noises from the plastic parts of the dashboard are getting so annoying. Would I find these kind of noises in other similarly priced cars ($19-$25K range)? I love and appreciate the way the Mazda drives but I'm thinking that I would rather have another make or model that doesn't have so many noises inside the cabin. It's just so annoying! I can't go over a smallish bump without a loud *CRACK* noise coming from the dash. UGH. I want to love my car for the design and driving abilities but these noises are becoming too much for me. :(

Anyone else experience this or am I just overly sensitive to this? Is this better in the higher trim levels or the Mazda 6 or CX-5? I'm assuming not but IDK . .

I had the passenger A pillar creak until I whacked the shit out of it. Now the most annoyance I get is from the silver plastic around the AC vents expanding and contracting at a different rate than the surrounding plastic. Sometimes there's a random rattle from way in the back.

Everyone loves the VW golf GTI, but I hear those rattle like crazy after a while.

I also had the A pillar ticking sound, which drove me crazy but I managed to fix it myself after many fail attempts by the dealer. I also have the front suspension clunking/popping noise when turning at slow speeds but this issue is getting addressed by the dealer next week so we'll see how this goes. Other than that, I have a few plastic creaking once in a while when driving but not too often. Sometimes when the car is sitting in the sun too long and I drive with a/c on, the screen area will make a creak/pop sound. Again, not often but once in a while. Overall it's not too bad especially compared to my previous car (2009 pontiac vibe gt) which rattled and creak all over the place. So compared to my previous car, the mz3 is much easier to live with.
