hi. sorry for delai of answering.
@young-nyc : I guess the 1.1 has smoother pictures and some modifications to pictures and icons itselfs.
@bossman74 : as AA has crashed my MZD once (luckly restored) I will not mess nor try with AA anymore. Or at least until a "true" and native version for our MZD Connect comes.

I believe he meant just the Android icons like you did with the iOS theme.

Thanks. I guess that as the MZDConnect for CX9 is still a 7-inch multimedia screen, with same OS, it should work without problem. But as I do not have a CX9, I couldn't extract pics to check size.

Hello Corwin9s,
thanks for a great themes pack!
I would like to create a band new theme and need advice from experienced developer. I'm wondering how can I test/debug result without loading changes to Mazda Infotainment System each time when one image was changed? Do u have a virtual copy of Mazda Infotainment System or something like that on your PC?
Thanks in advance ))

Hello. To see how it goes, I designed specifically the theme "Calibrage" (Theme Calibrage for MZD Connect (Mazda) by Corwin9s). I'm using an application which can handle overlays (like Paint.NET for example, which is free). I put all pictures (buttons, background,...) in one file, with one overlay per pic. Then I put new overlay for each new picture I design. And so I'm able to see how it will come.

These themes are amazing. I am so happy that people put all this time and effort into these small things :)
thanks !

Hi,

I noticed, in my JCI backup dir, that the standard background is also used at the following places:

cp /mnt/sd*/background/background.png /jci/gui/common/images/
cp /mnt/sd*/background/background.png /jci/gui/common/controls/List2/images/
cp /mnt/sd*/background/background.png /jci/gui/apps/emnavi/controls/NowplayingInfo/images/
cp /mnt/sd*/background/background.png /jci/gui/apps/vsm/controls/vsm/images/

I\m no coder but, can I add these lines to the instal script?

hi. I guess you could. Just keep in mind to put this again in when you want to change background.

How to install a theme ?
1) download and unzip the .zip file on your computer

2) choose the background picture you want to have (if many are available).
2.1) To do so, simply go in the "background" folder.
2.2) Rename the one you want to "background.png"

3) Copy all files from the MASTER folder to the root of a blank FAT32 flash drive. Don't copy the folder itself, just the stuff inside
the usb must be permanent stay in the car?
4) Unplug any other USB or SD from the car except this drive.
including the default SD for the map?

5) Turn on the car and wait for the "Theme Applied" window to appear (could be 30-60 sec)

6) MZD should reboot itself. If not, restart it yourself by holding down BACK+MUTE+NAV for a few seconds

in red are my questions. lastly can i request a beagle theme =)

hello. Answers are:

1) no, USB stick has to be removed when the MZD is rebooting, as said after point 7) :

While MZD is rebooting, unplug the USB stick.
2) yes, including the default SD card for the Navi Map. But when you unplug the USB stick (with the theme), you can safely plug back the NAVI sd card.
