Common Mazda 3 2015 problems?

So I got myself a Mazda 3 Hatchback 2015, give or take half a year ago. It's a 2L Gas.

Next week I'm taking it back to the dealer since it seems to have all possible "flaws" that are known. It has the 'clicking noise' in the front right of the car, which is a known issue and there is a Service Bulletin about this, I've already taken the car in for the this issue in the past, they fixed it, but now it's back, I don't know if it's due to the cold weather or not fixing it properly the first time around.

The gear seems to be rather notchy aswell, the dealer said he also found a SB for this, something about a cable needing to be realigned or whatever.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had these problems and were they fixed permanently or can I expect more issues in the future?
I'll be paying for this car the next five years, I hope I won't regret it. Seems like I got one that has all the production flaws possible or something..

I already feel like selling it and just paying of my loan and get me another car..

I didn't buy this car to take it back to the dealer every month or whatever.
It's also pretty much the only good and official Mazda dealer/partner whatever around here so I basically have to rely on them to fix it all properly.

Oh well, just had to vent my frustrations a bit.

Cheers

Other that that annoying dash tick that comes and goes, my 2014 hatch has been mechanically sound. Yes, i did have to take preventative measures for spot rust for the welds and seams due to shoddy paint, and replace a rusty hatch strut that was incorrectly protected by Mazda's supplier, and update the Mazda connect system several times. Other than that, I'd say this car is as reliable as my old RSX-S and S2000.

I have had my 2015 back to the dealer for Notchy Gear changes, mostly between 1st to 2nd but sometimes 2nd to 3rd. Of course he could not replicate the fault. Can I ask is this an EU car? and if it is possible any details of the Service Bulletin so I can return with more weapons in my armoury.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I got very soft suspension on my 2015 Mazda3 i Touring scratching my front bumper after a speed bump. This problem this not occur on my 2016 mazda 3 loaner. No clicking noise for me. Gas mileage is good but not spectacular. My manuals gears do sometimes stick a little bit causing me to grind a little bit but its rare. The road noise did not bother me. The only thing really bother me is super small trunk space and leg room even for the hatchback. Other than these things, this Mazda is really smooth and zoom zoom.
I've got a Mexican built 15, 55k kms on it and very few issues really. With the exception of a failed backup camera all items have been under service bulletins.

Had the cable for heating control knob break, dealer repaired very promptly.

Pin on Center console bin slid out, dealer replaced with revised part.

Had the coolant recall, fixed.

Had rust start prematurely on the front edge of the front control arms and exhaust. This is covered under a SB, but only applies in the US. Both dealer and mazda Canada refused to do anything. I removed rust and repainted both control arms and exhaust. Found some clear high temperature paint for the exhaust. I'm still a lot sore over that one,but it was not worth the cost of small claims court when I can fix it myself cheap.

That's it for me. No dash rattles besides my sunglasses in the holder on the ceiling :p

I also notice the exterior black plastic trim color is fading away which is a big surprise for a car less than 2 years old.
So far my '15 2.0 automatic has not had to return to the dealer for anything, at 21000 miles.
It is a EU car yes. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet for the notchy gears, the thing is it seems to come and go and it's hard for me to tell the exact conditions in which the gears seem notchy and when they are not. The problems also seem to disappear temporarily when I go to the dealer, lol. I've had contact with my dealer and he told me I could bring the car in if I wanted to, there is a SB for the notchy gears, but right now I'm kind of in the mindset "If it's not broken don't fix it", seeing how it doesn't really occur "all the time", I'm afraid that once they start tinkering with cables and stuff it will only get worse. Seeing how they weren't able to fix the clicking noise on 3 attempts. Don't get me wrong, it's a good dealer and an official Mazda partner, but yeah, I don't know. I'm probably not taking the car in until it needs to get serviced which is in about 8k KM I think. At that point I'll probably have them look at all the issues mentioned above and have them update my Infotainment System, because that baby is at V22 or something, lol. I don't feel like blowing my 3 year warranty by trying to update it myself.

Right now with the cold weather it seems like my seat is making a bit of a squealing noise, I don't know how to describe it, it seems to disappear when the temperature is up after driving a minute or two.

Other than that no major issues, so yeah.

I guess I'll find out if there are any major problems in a 8k KM.

Bought my 2015 brand new last May, not a single issue with it. Runs perfect.
14' Japan made 2.5 Hatch AT @ 35k miles. So far warranty replaced CMU due to intermittent blank screen, HUD due to intermittently not coming up, added and replaced several small parts on the front suspensions due to clunking at low speed. Nothing major but warranty is almost out at 36k makes me a little worried.

I've got a Mexican built 15

Had the coolant recall, fixed.
I've also got a Mexican 15 with no issues--though I was a little disappointed the horn didn't play La Cucaracha! :wink2:
What's the coolant recall? I just checked my VIN on the Mazda site and it says no recalls.
Cheers.
I have a 2014 here is the list of fix that were fixed:
- 3 times back to body shop for Rust mainly in the rear part- trunk of the car, always on weld spot.
- Driver sunshield , light wasn't working anymore faulty wire
- Info system screen changed 3 week ago, it showed signs of peeling inside of it
- Cooling system was 100% pure when I pick up the car the first day.
- Lately I noticed that the 2 headlight started to peel off
Last week I had a bit of a dash rattle that went away.

On its 2nd weekend I heard a bang from under the car, I looked and nothing was broken, no issues with functionality

I have soul red and the body-bumper paint match is a bit rubbish.

Car is from Japan 12500km old!
60K miles on a 2015 2.0, no problems (Japan), I hope I didn't just Jinx myself :wink2:.
Mazda 3 hatchback 2015, EU model, mexican built, 2.0 120hp. 19000kms. Bought Jan 2015.
- Missaligned steering wheel from 1st day. Repaired by myself following TSB.
- Front signature led from one side had different temp color from the other side, because of that color didnt match. Replaced under warranty.
- Ticking noise from passenger airbag module. Repaired by myself with a piece of adhesive tape, lol.
- Fuel tank sometimes splash out when filling. Not repaired.
- Ticking sound from driver window when a bit opened. Not repaired. I know there is a TSB related.
- Clutch spring noise when depressing. Not repaired. May be a little bit of grease...

No recalls for my VIN number, as far as i know... But what is that coolant recall?

I have had that notchy gear problem on my 2015 too and the dealer can't find anything wrong. I'm in Canada I didn't check to know know if mine was assembled in Canada or Mexico but manual isn't very common here so there aren't many out on the road here to be able to compare and diagnose it. I'd be interested in the specifics of the SB for the EU model because in Canada they can't find find anything. It feels like it's doing damage and I'm not even at 40k km to do a transmission flush and take a look around but it feels like it's causing friction in the gearbox. I'm looking for anyone in Canada, maybe Mexico or the US driving the 2015 3 sport hatch that might have found the cause.
Big $ one to look for is infotainment screen. They will try to foot youbwith the bill if you are out of 3/36 warranty, even if CPO. It's about $1,000 fix
2015 2.0.

Cabin fan motor had a bit of a squeak, some spray lube fixed it.

Gearbox was kinda notchy and light, upgraded to 20% SSP, solid shifter bushings, and heavy shift knob. Now its perfect
