I would like to confirm with who has the clothe seats if this is normal?

Rear seats; both left and rigth seats

I really hope this is an error ! The car is brand new.

That isn't normal, or, at least, my seat(s) do(es) not have those/that split(s). I'd take it to the dealer and see if there's anything they could do under the warranty.

that looks like the seat fabric has been pulled up somehow near the child seat anchor area.. do you have a child seat in there? or have you before? there is a sewn gap in the fabric as you can see in the picture. but normally that is only visible from behind the bottom of back

More pictures...

Bad news...i have been at the dealership, and checked 2 other mzd 3 brand new and the same thing...checked 1 cx 3 same thing...one mzd 6 with leather seats and guess what? Same thing...

Waiting for an official explanation for the intentionally gap! Maybe isofix? I am sure the japaneses will have an answer...there are no reasons to do this...besides saving a few pennies!

Mine is a 2017 Japan made M3, it's the same as in the pictures, but it has like a black kind of cloth under, you can't see the white foam.
