So we all know and have had "issues" with our infotainment system, whether it be random freezing, nav goes to compass screen, system crash and so on, bottom line is it is frustrating and time consuming! In these instances one would have to bring car in to dealer for a "diagnosis" ? Well before you do that try clearing your own DTC codes, here's how to do it.

!. Press and hold the "favorites" button

2. Press and hold the "music" button (has the music note icon on it)

3. Press and hold the "volume/mute" button

Pressing these three buttons in the order I described will bring up the "test screen" In this screen you will be able to see what codes/faults are activated, you then will be able to clear them.

Here's the test screen in my car.

Thanks! I'll have to try this out next time it acts up. A couple questions:

I assume you have to be in park for this?
Do you recommend doing this periodically; like restarting a computer?
Does this fix USB connectivity issues as well?
