So finally. It happened.

The suspension is Eibach ProKit and Koni FSDs.

The wheels are hyper silver Mazda6 19s wrapped in 225/40R19 rubber.

The ride quality is amazing. I drive an hour to work and the ride feels the exact same as it did on stock suspension. There is one particular frost heave I hit every day, and that felt a little different (a little stiffer bounce), but nothing to really write home about. I live in New England, so I deal with pot holes and crappy roads all day long and I literally can't tell a difference in ride quality between stock vs. this new setup. I don't drive very spirited, so I can't really give you any details on the performance aspect of it other than I can definitely tell how minimized the body roll is now.

Here's a couple pics. We just got 2 feet of snow dumped on us on Tuesday, so this is as clean as it's getting for the next couple of weeks.

Here's some pics from yesterday after I lowered it. It's super dirty from all of the road salt, but here's some different angles to look at

All that is left now are the Mazda6 front Brembo brakes, and figure out a "matching" solution for the rear brakes. That won't happen for at least another year though. No rush to do that.

@Chazzy J, compliments to you. Your lowering job is sweet, yet functional for bad roads with significant potholes. Looks sweet! Well done. And, no surprise, it looks OEM!

And compliments to Mazda for the upper post picture of the side of your 3, with its Soul Red Metallic glistening in the sun. Your car looks terrific in that color, a beautiful candy apple red!

Thanks Chazzy J.

The first time my wife and I saw Soul Red was on a very rainy, totally gray day -- and it looked great to us. Then as we decided to get a Mazda, like all who just bought, own or about to buy a specific car, we saw some other Mazda 3's driving around. But as we have had 66" of rain in the last six months, not many days of sun during that time, no SR's in the Mazda showroom, it was weeks later when one sunny day, we pulled up at a light, and this car pulled up next to us, with the sun facing its side next to us. It was explodingly exciting Soul Red Metallic! That clinched it for us. With later "icing on the cake" being forum posts with SR picture's of their 3's by @stevenvillatoro, @Skagerstrom, @Chazzy J and so many more M3R members since.

Now when we see SR in the sunshine, it reminds us of our long term favorite car color, Candy Apple Red!

Car looks great! For some reason, it looks lowered more than what I'm used to seeing with the Eibach kit. Drop looks more along the lines of the H&R springs. Looking great though, need to drop my car asap, just debating between Eibach vs H&R atm.

I dont think you would be unhappy with either of those options.

IMO this should be the way Mazda needs to sell all top trims of the 3, with 19" wheels, low profile tires and lowered suspension! These upgrades great the 3 a bigger, sleek and aggressive presence, making it look just freaking perfect and gorgeous!

Thanks for all the great feedback guys. I'm loving it and starting to notice the difference the more and more I drive it. Though really hardly noticeable.

As a note, it may look "lower" because the 225/40 tires are about a half inch taller in diameter from the stock 215/45. Enough to throw the Speedo off by 1mph. But it does close the wheel gap ever so slightly more.

Thanks for pointing that out as that's about the same drop difference between the H&R and Eibachs. Makes sense now why my brain was deceiving me lol

Nice looking ride! Having the Mazda 6 wheels makes your car at first appear to be a Mazda 6, so its good that your license plate is what it is :p
