Hello guys!

I would like to change my factory unit and install an android auto double DIN. Sony XA-AV 1000 might be my choice.

I have read that some people had trouble with the car's screen after changing the unit. Do you have any advice about how to do the wiring in order to have it working straight forward?

I'm not very worried about the steering controls, but if I can keep them working, even better.

I am in the same boat mine i installed and wired sounded amazing but when I put it into gear it just shuts off so wish I knew what the issue was. Hope you get your answer

im not a big fan of that head unit. its very basic. its like its android auto/carplay and thats about it. that might be fine for some people, but if you are used to a nice in dash video unit being the center of a car entertainment system, that is not the unit for you.

im pretty sure the screen will keep displaying the climate controls if you have the digital ones, and maybe the outside temp. obviously the radio will not display anything on it, and i think you lose the mpg and all that as well (mine doesnt have the computer in it so im not posative about that.)

the dash kit for that car usually comes with a little pocket you can put in place of the lcd screen.
