Hello,

I'm editor of Zoom-Zoom, Mazda's international customer magazine. We're planning to do a photo/video shoot in the Los Angeles area in mid-July and we are looking for a few features cars. The cars must be unmodified and we'll need you and your vehicle(s) for a day, maybe two.

Here's what's on our list

1970s Mazda 323/Familia/GLC (RWD)
1980s 323/ Familia (FWD)
1990s Protégé (323)
2003-onwards Mazda3 (1st generation)
2007-onwards Mazda3 (2nd generation)

If you think you can help, please post a photo of your car in replies and, if you'd like to take a look at the magazine, our digital edition can be found at Zoom-Zoom Mazda Magazine or search the iTunes store for Zoom-Zoom for the iPad App.

Thanks!

Nik

It's nice to see that Mazda recognizes Mazda3revolution. Mazda3revolution should be added to the tuning link page on the Mazda corporate website. The is no better forum on the web to learn about your second generation Mazda 3 than right here.

More strangely, why feature an unmodified car? There are literally millions of unmodified 3's running around, there would be no special need to feature a car that you could see everywhere... :detective:

I received one of these magazines shortly after I bought my 3 and there was a completely restored first gen rx7 in it that was way more bad ass than any modified one Ive ever seen lol

Sometimes its nice to go back in time and see what an old car would have looked like straight off a dealer lot

I agree, but the RX-7 was introduced 35 years ago, where as the 3 is 10 years. Classic vs. New, classic would win.

I agree show mod'd newer cars and original classic cars.

I mean this forum isn't always about modified cars...like getting help when you have a problem and whatnot...and people here are some of the friendliest in the Mazda community across any forum that I have seen...but if you plan on adding the Mazda 3's to this mix (1st or 2nd gen), and unmodified...you can go house to house in LA and take pictures

I don't speak for everyone here but we take pride in the adjustments we have made to our cars, and we like to showcase that on the freeways or during meets...Mazda seems to love getting behind their tunerheads by posting stuff on their Facebook page of modified cars nationwide, and this would be a great benefit to the people who put in hard wrench time and pour thousands in to their cars, including blood sweat and tears...

Zoom Zoom should really think about letting modified tuners in to the photo shoot to showcase not only the beautiful cars, but also the tuners who deserve some credit for innovation and dedication...it would be nice to get some representation outside of the forums and show that other car manufacturers have a dedication following (like Honda's huge following)...sometimes we can be left in the dust and this would be a great way to bring us to the forefront!

Just some food for thought :)

In case you want to show love for a lightly modified (exterior) MS3. I would actually drive out to Cali for a photoshoot.

Thanks to everyone who's replied

I seem to have prompted a bit of a discussion! We have featured modified and race cars in Zoom Zoom on many occasions, but this time it's original vehicles we're after as we're tracing the origins of the Mazda3.

But thanks everyone for getting involved in the discussion
