I was hearing a light clunking and squeaking sound coming from the front end so I decided to check a few things and I found that both sway bar links had play in them. I ended up replacing them with some OEMs and the light clunking is gone but the squeak is still there and I have no idea what it could be. I am certain it is coming from the front end because I hear it when turning the steering wheel, even when the car is stationary. In the past I had a similar problem with another vehicle giving a much louder squeak and it ended up being the ball joint so at this time I am leaning towards it being that but is there any chance it could be the rack and pinion?

One suggestion that I found on hear was to spray the sway bar bushings with silicon spray and see if the noise goes away and it didn't, but its also very difficult to reach them without jacking up the car so I wasn't able to spray both sides of them. I recall when I replaced the sway bar links I checked the sway bar bushing and found no play so I am pretty sure its not that, I also checked the ball joints, outer tie rods, and CV joints and found nothing then. Lastly, I also couldn't reproduce the squeak when I had the vehicle on jack stands, It only does it when the suspension is loaded.

Front LCA bushings.. strut top mount or spring seat.

I also forgot to mention it seems like its only noisy when the car is hot after my drive home. In the morning or after the car has been sitting for a while it takes a little bit of driving to hear the squeak sound again.

edit: I saw that you posted in another thread that you were hearing a knocking sound when stopping in reverse of moving forward from a stand still and it ended up being the strut top mount and spring seat. My car also does that from time to time. How difficult are they to replace and is either of the bolts the holds the strut to the knuckle an eccentric bolt for adjusting camber? Will an alignment be needed afterward?

Camber in rear is handled by the camber arm. There's a toe arm in rear too.

Shock replacement is pretty simple.. cracking the bottom nut is the toughest part. A breaker bar helps.

Would it be worth it to replace everything with a new quick strut assembly, I see kyb and Monroe available on Rock auto?

The vehicle is a 2015 with 116k miles, how do aftermarket brand compare to oem in terms of longevity? I am not looking to lower the car or anything like that, stock performance is fine.

Quick strut = NO

Aftermarket options are good. Bilstein B4 are good for similar to stock options and are priced reasonably.

Get some KYB strut top mounts and stock rubber spring seats while you are at it.

The end links probably need replacement at this point too.

What about the kyb strut-plus assemblies SR4510 and SR 4511? By quick strut I meant a ready to install assembly, i forgot "quick strut" is Monroe's model name.

End links were replace recently.
