Stopped being able to connect to headunit process

I cleared my *bz2 log files. I started up a hotspot on my phone and connect my laptop and MZD to it and ssh's from my laptop to the headunit, I could never get the USB drive to run the install process, ever.

So I deleted things manually (AA folders, etc., using ssh).

My space looks good but I can't "install" again. It doesn't seem to matter if the USB drive is in there 2 or 20 minutes. Twice I saw the AIO screen comes up but after the gui dialogue there was nothing.

Is there a script or tool to remove everything from SSH so I can start over?

When I insert my USB drive and power up the system it reads and mounts it, but the auto install doesn't kick off. I can't launch tweaks (locks the infotainment system up and have to reboot that). Shouldn't there be a way to kick off the install from ssh?
