After much research, I am headed in this direction as far as the BOV. I have read a bit more pros when compared to the turbosmart dual port. From reading from HKS site, they say the part number for the 2007 - 2009 models is 71007-AZ008. Does anyone know if this will also work for hte 2010 model? Also are you running this BOV in recirculation mode? Thanks again

I don't run the HKS but I do run an aftermarket BPV (Forge) and it was originally intended for the Gen1 Speed 3. You should have no problems running the HKS even though it states that it's for the 2007-2009 model.

As far as running in recirc, our cars were intended to run in recirc from the factory. Not doing so could cause some nasty side effects like backfiring or maybe throwing a CEL. You might be able to run it in 50/50 (possible with the TurboSmart I think but I'm nots sure about the HKS) and not run into problems but running full VTA would not be wise with the stock tune.

I'm running a HKS SSQV on a 2010 that I got from Corksport in full recirc. Absolutely no problems, sounds awesome. I'd say a SSQV with a CS intake is ideal in terms of sound level -- not as loud as VTA, but still very noticeable.

I've been running the SSQV in full recirc for about 3 months now and absolutely no problems to report! It's a great valve and it looks nice under the hood, I'm running a CP-E intake with the Corksport TIP and it sounds pretty good. Like Darshu said, the sound level is noticeable but not super obnoxious.

I have been shopping this product online a lot and I am seeing the universal discontinued black one for as low as $120. I know that to this price i have to add the adapter flange $40 and the recirc kit $30, saving around $60. Is the headache of buying it individually worth the savings? Thanks again

I got one from CP-E Performance along with their CAI and Turbo tube. Installed it all myself and haven't had any problems yet and its been about a month now.

Custom Performance Engineering -- Search results

This should be a direct link to the Gen 2 Mazdaspeed 3. Great customer service and shipping was on time. No problems.

Installation takes about 15 minutes and uses common tools, but you will need Slip Ring Pliers to install it.

The slip ring pliers are used to connect the flange to the actual BOV body. When it comes in the box the flange is seperate from the BOV. So the slip ring pliers are needed to connect them together insead of it being one piece.

I liked this idea because you can adjust the BOV to sit at any angle you want. I'll take a picture of mine and post it here for you if you would like to see it.
