Hi, New here.

Just curiously if any of you guys installed a remoted oil filter on a Mazda 3.

I drive a lot. 40K a year.

I like the idea of mounting the filter up top so I don't have to go underneath the car.

I would image the engine would last a lot longer with a bypass filter.

From the looks of thing it couldn't hurt anything and the added oil capacity is always a good thing. But unless you get the one that has the full flow and the bypass filter on the same mount your still gonna have to get under the car to change the normal filter. Also from the looks of things your gonna need to tap the oil pan which can be a bitch.

I don't think U need to tap the pan at all.

The adapter will replace the spin-on filter. 2 hose comes off the adapter.
Only 10% of the oil will goes to the high filtration filter 2 microns.
The rest goes to full flow. I think the problem for Mazda 3 is room.
However, looks like there are lots of room in front of the dash board.
I am not sure if the hoses will interfere with anything else.
If somebody has done it. then it would be easily.
