So I washed the car today and while washing the wheels I noticed that the brake calipers seem to be coated. Does anyone know if the calipers are indeed coated? Has anyone's calipers begun to rust? I would like to paint mine but if they are indeed coated then I won't need to

They are anondized aluminium, so rust shouldnt be a big problem.

That's not true.

Front calipers are all steel - unless I have magnetic aluminium!

Rear body is aluminium, caliper support is steel.
