I need to buy new tires this weekend, since my stock 18 inch Dunlops only lasted me 10,000 miles. I was pretty bummed that I'm already having to invest money in new tires, especially only having the car for about 6 months. Not sure if lowering my car caused the fast wear, or if the manual transmission is slightly harder on my tires.
As badly as I'd like a nice set of summer tires in California, I'm scared I'll get bad tire life again so I'm leaning towards the all season options that have warranties. Essentially if I only got 10,000 miles on any of these tires with a 45,000 mile warranty, I'd basically get a 78% discount on my next set. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've narrowed my options to:
I'm looking for a balance of tread life, performance for slightly spirited driving, and a quiet comfortable ride. I also like the look of a flat side wall, to look nice mounted on the stock 18 inch wheel. Any experience with any of these tires? And recommendations for me and my situation?

- Michelin Pilot Sport a/s 3 - $161 - 45k warranty
