I just bought a UK Mazda 3 having the keyless entry system. I tried unlocking the door using the auxiliary 'mechanical' key which worked but the alarm triggered which surprised me. I was able to soon disable the alarm by pressing unlock on the key fob. How do you disable the alarm when your key fob battery is dead when using the auxiliary key? The manual does say the alarm can be disabled by starting the engine but is there a quicker method?
