Auto EXE intake suction kit INSTALLED

Hi guys,

Just wanted to share these pics of the installed Auto EXE on my 16 Mazda 6 GT.

I have been running an aFe Power Dry filter for a couple of months and have been happy. The addition of this dresses up the engine bay while ever so slightly improving responsiveness over 3k rpm.

Hope this helps those of you considering a short ram or some other type of intake...

Interesting...personally I think our stock air boxes flow plenty....but that accordion tube seems like it would cause a lot of turbulence. So this solves it.

I wonder being that it is not a filter if it is CARS legal. I can do an intake because I'm in California.
Bah. It takes ten minutes to swap it over on inspection day 0:)

I watched some videos on the install and it seems like it would take a bit of effort. The stock airbox looks bulky and goes downwards a bit. ...and then you also have to swap out the MAF correct?

Not saying we couldn't do that every smog test, but seems like a decent job.

...maybe it just looks harder than it is :)
The stock airbox is awkward, bit it slides into place with no particular wiggling. And yeah, the actual mass air sensor gets swapped over but it`s two little bolts. It takes about 20 minutes to install the aftermarket intake the first time, then swapping back and forth takes ten if you stop for a glass of water from there on. It really is quick and easy.
