Anyone with first hand experience with the CS big brake kit?

I have it installed. In my opinion it's worth every penny. If you wait for a stoptech you'll probably pay 2x the amount. The fact that you get an entire bbk w/ calipers, rotors, pads, and SS lines for a little over $1k is incredible value. They performed great at my track day at Lime Rock. I got a lot of seat time in that day and never had a problem with fading or pedal feel.
I don't have any photos handy but I'll share some when I get a chance.

@xskynetx - That thread you're referencing is from 2013. I get where you're coming from, but keep the topic on track.
@zef - Please feel free to share your experience again, and if you have pictures, I would appreciate seeing them.

I had them installed for a few months, and actually currently have the calipers/adapters for sale in blue since I parted out my car. Much cheaper than new. I'd recommend new rotors and pads though ;)

At any rate, the stopping power is intense. Under a hard stop, the back end of the car wiggles a little because the front clamps so hard. I'd recommend getting better pads for the rear if you get the kit. One rotor warped very quickly, but I assume that's more due to my short commute than anything else, since they were just starting to heat before being left to cool. On spirited drives, they performed very well and made a significant difference compared to the OEM units. Bare in mind, a lot of braking performance comes down to tires, but the kit really does help maximize braking potential and the feel is beautifully progressive through the pedal. I just wish they made SS lines for the rear.

I was worried about this myself. Braking balance is at least as important as bite. All that extra stopping power up front should be matched in the back. I agree that SS lines and better pads can correct that but Corksport should have addressed it themselves. I would at least like to see them post a recommended rear setup that they have proven in testing to maintain the balance. Maybe [email protected] could chime in on this.

Maybe you should install a proportioning valve to balance the rear braking out.

I would love to see some pictures with a BBK, though lately from the complaint posts about CS (mostly about the quality of their SRI/box and the exhaust) I'm a fair bit hesitant to buy anything from them.

I would like to ask about the rotors of that BBK is there any alternative replacement if the rotors got wrapped ?? 🤔
They looks like from Stoptech 😉

Any 13" inch / 330mm 2 piece rotor 5x114 should fit . Like these....

After my CX-5, this time around I took a gamble on the PowerStop Street kit for the Mazda 3 on Jegs for $230 shipped after rebate. It includes pads, drilled rotors, hardware, rubber, lube, all around solid kit. The zinc plating is still holding up after a Chicago Winter, initial bite is improved, consistency is excellent and there is no dust at all. The pads are easily up there with EBC Green Stuff, etc. The rotors...time will tell, but for ~$200 and an afternoon of work I did a complete brake job on the vehicle. I also bled through some Bosch DOT5.1.

Don't forget to retract the electronic calipers in the rear to service position. There is a Youtube on it.

I think they Come with a 325mm rotors.
How should i manage the 5mm difference between theirs and any replacement rotors in the market ???

They have all sizes replacement rotors.
Reach out to corksport they should be able to advise ..
