Anyone have any idea or estimates to how much sound dampener to use for the Hatchies? I want to do the doors, both front and rear, and the trunk space including lift gate.

I figure roundabout 4 sq.ft. per door, guesstimating about 6 sq. ft. for the back lift gate, and 10 sq. ft. for the "trunk space." So the estimate I came up with is 30-40 sq.ft. Anybody able to confirm this by any chance?

I want to get sounddeadenershowdown materials, but last time i ordered from there it took over 8 weeks to get everything. So this time around I am thinking Second Skin. Damplifier Pro quite possibly. Or just regular Damplifier if the difference isn't that great.

Any insight and personal experiences would be much appreciated as I am taking the time and care to get my 3 done up the right way. Not like some of the trashy 3's driving around CT rattling and shaking all over the place.

Many thanks in advance!

My experience with Dynamat has be a horrible ordeal. I never personally used it, but I've done installs for friends who insisted on it and so I obliged them on many occasion, my belief, due to the fact that dynamat smells like asphalt sheeting that it is in fact a roofing product used to prevent freezing and leakage on roofs. It can be purchased on a ginourmous 150 sq. ft. roll @ Home Cheapo for a mere $69 without the Dynamat logo...

But I could be wrong.
