Visteon included full support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on the SDK for Phoenix (our head unit). https://developer.visteon.com/phoenix/AudioFocusManager.html
However, I could not find any development using their API's and SDK on this area. The AA Headunit app is based on previous developments from Mike Reidis, mainly on C, and predates the acquisition of the electronics division of JCI by Visteon.
