modifiedhello everyone, I write from Italy and I am the owner of a cx-3 with firmware 59.00.545. I made a serial connection following the guide on Mazda aio step by step, I see the text fly both with putty and with secureCRT, I see the commands I enter but I don't see any colored installation text. I don't know how to try anymore
I have Mazda 2 Skyactiv and already installed Android Auto from the latest AIO tweak, however Google Maps Navigation doesn't show up on my HUD. I read on several places that the HUD navigation works with both Google Maps and Waze (I didn't get either working). My question is, do I need certain firmware version to make it work? Mine is still on version 55.100A. Can anyone with HUD can confirm that the navigation works on your HUD with Google Maps / Waze?
Thanks for the reply, after reading your answer, I did some research about upgrading the firmware to 59.00.502. However I read a lot of conflicting information, and I'm scared that I got locked out (unable to install tweaks from USB anymore) after updating to 59.00.502. Can I downgrade to FW 56 again after I upgrade to FW 59 ?@hibiki
HUD will only works smoothly on fw59.00.502 and upwards related to AA v.1.13, AA Tru_go v1.14b and AA Tru_go v1.15. Anything below that particular fw59.00.502, hud will not work properly or freezes during navigation turn by turn.
If u decide to update to this version very important is to install idv7 recovery from mazda aio v2.8.6 first. Otherwise you have to do a serial connection by tearing up your center console apart, buy hardware and do some computer coding, which can be complex and time consuming.
Once absolutely sure idv7 recovery has been installed update your fw to 59.00.502 HiDrive following its instructions to the word. Completed that and head over to AA Tru_go V1.14b FW55.00.xx-FW59.00.502 and install the latest AA Tru_go v1.14b HD Final and enjoy! Or buy me a beer. Cheers.
