Hey guys, have any of you had any luck or experiences purchasing OEM looking aftermarket aero kits?? I found this MS stype front lip on EBAY:

14-16 Mazda 3 4Dr/5Dr Front Bumper Lip Spoiler - ABS | eBay

But thats pretty much all i can find. So i'm just wondering if you guys know where i can purchase a set...because im finding it hard to shell out over $1300 for the oem (altho from the looks of things...thats wat i'll end up doing lol :001_unsure

I know there are lots of aftermarket aero kits with their own style and look..but im specifically looking for one that looks close to oem as possible.

There are aftermarket OEM side skirts on eBay too just like the one you found. I haven't the rear part of the aero kit on eBay yet though.

Tascaparts.com my friend. It'll be less than a $1,000. Put in the OEM part numbers for the Air Dam, Side Sills, and Rear Diff. It comes prepped, painted, installation hardware, templates and everything you need to install the kit (minus a drill and socket). Quite honestly well worth it in my opinion.

Otherwise, you're buying the ABS plastic, taking it to a body shop, they're gonna fuss with it, who knows if they'll prep it correctly for paint (fish eyes, orange peel, etc). If you have the time and patience to install it yourself, you just bought an aero kit for a $1,000 and it's ready to go when it's delivered to your door -- really not that bad at all.

Thanks bro...those are definitely cheaper saves me aprx $200...based on the pricing posted on the mazada qebsite...but those parts are still oem... hence they cost $900 +...where as an aftermarket set i'm sure would cost a fraction of that lol

Well a "fraction" is open to debate. Let's say you get the Air Dam and Side sills for $300 (not sure where you're going to find the rear diff). If they're not prepped and prime, that's money you have to pay the body shop. They you have to pay for the materials and labor to paint it, and assuming you're going to have the body shop do the install, you have to pay for that too.

While I haven't had a body shop do work for me in maybe a decade, I do recall they're not cheap, especially based on hourly rates -- unless you know someone that can cut you a deal. You're probably looking at not saving as much money as you thought you would. These things typically even out in the end. Just saying...it's a lot of fussing around and your own time going back and forth to the body shop, inspecting their work, etc etc.

The install on these is SUPER easy. You just have to have time and patience and you can get it done in an afternoon w/o out any automotive experience at all.
