Hi.

Unless Mazda decides to remove JCI Test Mode completely from firmware this tweak should work on any firmware past and including V59, certainly worked on my 411A.

JCI Test Mode was only removed from UI, but functionality is still there. Looking in firmware 55.00.753A I was able to find original diagnostic app in /jci/gui/apps/diag. Code to access menu with 20 second press on DEL button is in controls/Test/js/TestCtrl.js, actual app functionality in js/diagApp.js. Between 55.00.753A and 59.00.441A diagApp.js was not changed at all, but UI part - TestCtrl.js - was altered to, among other things, remove access to test mode.

Attached file is a zip archive (rename it), files from it should be placed in /jci/gui/apps/diag overwriting existing ones (better make backup first). Doing so will bring back test mode by adding "T/M" button next to ENTER, single press on which (no need to hold it) will activate familiar test mode. Typing 11 and pressing ENTER later on opens well known test menu.

Perhaps this can be incorporated into AIO as another tweak.

As usual, use AT YOUR OWN RISK.

P.S. Unrelated to the above there is a way to open terminal window right on CMU itself and use USB keyboard to access shell: YouTube video id "M-iJLuxwfzU", can't post link. But I haven't tried it yet.

Not sure about ADR version, but I've just checked .546NA version and diag app still has not been changed, and test mode worked on my Mazda3 with that firmware. Why do you say "common.js"?

Thanks. I'm sure it's more useful in easy-to-run USB tweak mode rather than copy-files-over-ssh-yourself kind of mode :) Wonder if it can be included into AIO...
Yes, it could, but tweaking via USB is generally the preferred method, as the Diagnostics screen can be troublesome. Version 70 users are in a exploratory phase now, so I thought it would be helpful for some to have this option.

Not working on my CX5

I did plug the USB into my just arrived CX5 and it did nothing :(
I searched the internet and it seems that tweaking via USB has been disabled in FW v59.00.502 and higher.
The workaround involves taking apart my Mazda and I am not mentally prepared for it (more info on the workaround here : mazdatweaks dot com/serial/)

My question to you is :

Is there any other magical option to install the tweak which allow "JCI TEST MODE"
without having to dismantle my CX5 ?

Thank you !

Not that anyone knows of. This tweak was created for a narrow gap between 55.00.753 and 59.00.441 assuming you still have access to file system. Past that it's required to have recovery scripts installed via AIO beforehand to maintain such access.
