i guess im NOT one of the lucky gen3 owners.
2015 mazda3i hatch, 95k miles (mostly hwy).

1) calipers became stuck on both rear brakes sometime in the last 5k miles.
luckily only needed new pads and just cleaned/lubed the caliper slide pins, according to the mechanic.
my vin # wasnt part of the recall for this issue. :(

2) misfire on one of the cylinders
replaced all spark plugs and 1 of the coils, plus induction cleaning = $600 :(

3) felt it hard shift from 2nd to 3rd gear for the 1st time @ 95k miles
last time i had this happen was on my 2005 Mazda3i at 200k miles.
i lost 3rd gear about 1k miles later and had to get a new car (which was this 2015 mazda3i). :(
not saying this will happen to my 2015 mazda3i but past experience is making me nervous.

Scuddog, your having a 2018 2.5 6MT you have I guess the same powertrain as in my 2017 Mazda6 Sport 6mt. No cyl disabling, 184 hp / 185 ft lbs torque at 3250 rpm? Or maybe 1 more hp and a wee bit more torque at about 4000 rpm or so? How do you like your car for general urge, for shifting smoothness, for bottom end torque? Me, I think mine could be improved... which I intend to do... Your car is about 175# or so lighter than my 6...
