Hey guys,

I drive a 2014 Mazda 3 GX.

I'm about to order a set of 19x8.5 (offset 35) wheels with a 45 tire on top, the total size of the wheel comes up to 225x45r19 equivalent to 27x8.9r19. The question is - will it fit? I'm ok with rolling my rear fender however, I want to know the opinion of someone who's done it before or knows how to calculate whether it'll actually work without cambering.

I was googling for quite a bit, though couldn't get a definitive answer (i can't post links yet but there is a thread on this forum saying 235x35r19 will fit no problem with a slight fender roll however, my dimensions are a bit different...)

Thank all of you who reply!

If you can, go w/ 19x8.5 et45 up. Pair w 225/40/19s. That slight allowable stretch will clear. No camber nor rolling necessary. 45s are too tall & will be way off your speedo.

Not sure why you are going to a 19" wheel with such a large sidewall and a small width tire. You can put a 225 tire on the stock 18" wheel as that is what I am running. Also the minimum with for an 8.5 wide wheel is 225. Why not put more meat to the road? On a 8.5 wide wheel you could go up to 255. The ideal width of tire for that wheel would be either a 235 or 245. Is your car lowered or are you going to lower it?

Hey! Thanks for the reply.

Yes I thought about it but was not sure I could be able to fit a 235 or 245 tire there without cambering or fender rolling. So should I go with 245x40r19 then? Do you think it will fit without any issues?

Thank you!

I would think they would fit if your car is not lowered but I would check out some of the wheel threads as it has been covered before.
