My 2018 Mazda 3 GT, 4-door, is one year old tomorrow, and I brought it into my dealership for an oil change today. They provided me with a 2018 CX-5 as a loaner. It drove okay. Was heavy and a bit bouncy - but it's a AWD CUV. One thing I found interesting was the brightness of that car's LED headlights. In comparison to my 3's LEDs, they were a lot dimmer and the light reflection off of cars in front of me wasn't as piercing as I'm used to. Reflective street signs did not 'pop' out as much either.

Could it be that the headlights are aimed down, due to the CUV sitting higher, where my 3's are aimed higher sitting lower? Or just a dimmer set of LED diodes used in the CUV because they sit higher?

I don't know, but I was glad to be back in my 3 blinding people on the road... (hahaha...joking...). Any similar comparisons out there?
