sorry folks, tried to search as best as i could, can't find any reviews on what bulb works best as Bi Xenon D4S

headlights seem like they're a bit dim so I checked out Rockauto for different bulbs: is the Hella D4S 4300K street legal? rockauto states they're for offroad use only, but are they for sure illegal for the road? if these aren't good for road, do any of you dudes have a recommendation for some solid bulbs for the road that are decently bright?

H1 and D4S is completely different bulb spec, it will not fit into OP's bi-Xenon projector.
H1 isn't even a selection for Mazda3 headlamp though, where are you using it?

For D4S, OEM selection is Philips 42402
or Osram 66440 Xenarc Osram is bit more cost. Both perform about the same.

They are all standard 4.300K bulb, typically described as vanilla white.

Thats a typo. His original post (with pictures) indicated they are H11, not H1...

ahh, no wonder I see now H1 was typo of H11, thank you for that link.
but OP does not have an H11 halogen bulb to begin with.

He is talking about D4S bulb, not halogen.
D4S= mercury-free D series factory HID bulb

Let's put H11 on the side, and stay on the subject of OP's needs of D4S replacement to help him out

Yup, but the OP hasn't been seen here for 5 months. I don't think it would do much good either way......
