Hi everyone!!

I'm realtively new to the Mazda community, so just bear with me a little :) I recently bought the 2016 Mazda 3 SGT and lived the face it already came with LED headlights.

However, upon changing my fog lights to also be LEDs, I realized my headlights have a somewhat yellow tint and aren't as white as I would like. My fog lights are from cork sport and have 6,000 lumons so they're super white with just a hint of blue. I would love for my headlights to be just as bright and just as white.

I've been doing a lot of research and have a few questions:
1) Since my headlights are already LEDs, I am assuming I would not need a conversion kit correct?

2) What is a good headlight that can give me the color and brightness I am looking for? I would prefer that the headlight have high beam and low beam, but if you know of ones that are separate that work well, I am good with that too!

Thank in advance for your help!

I don't think the headlight (behind the projector) is LED. Probably a D4S HID just like 2014-2015 version. You might want to go with philips ultinon or the likes, but they are very expensive. Check out hidplanet.

Hello @Samfersure

It looks like you are confused since the 2016 Model does not come with LED Headlights. Only the highest trim levels of the 2017 Models come with LED Headlights and Fog lights.

2016 models have only LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and Bi-Xenon Headlights , they don't come with any option of LED Headlights. The yellow light you see on your vehicle is a Xenon bulb which is approx. 4300K. If you wish to have a whiter color output then it is recommended to upgrade to a 5000K or 5500K Bulb.

In the meantime, many members on the forum do not recommend upgrading the headlights to LED's since the headlight projector was not designed specifically for LED's and the output or final result might not grant more brightness or output. Most members recommend upgrading to HID's(Xenon Bulbs), here is the best recommendation around:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O7PZLH6/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I hope this clarifies your questions and good luck!

Your link takes you to a D3S bulb, but my manual says D4S, are they interchangeable?

EDIT: So I just went back to the product and it states good for D4S, my bad.

90 bucks for one bulb, is it worth the money? Though if it has a bit of blue it may be worth if for me, loves me a tinge of blue.
