So way late on this, but it is possible. I just saw a taiwanese owner on instagram switch out that wheel. I want to do it too! But may be a little pricey to find a refresh wheel...
2014 Mazda 3 Steering Wheel Replacement
So my wife had to get your 16 mazda 3 worked on and they gave us a 17 mazda 6 as a loaner and I fell in love with the new steering wheel control design. Is it possible to swap the new 2017 mazda 3 steering wheel? I don't want to switch out just the leather, I want the whole thing.
