About 1/15 times, my car wouldn't startup for some reason. I've replaced the car battery recently and the problem still persists. Could it be a Fob battery issue? When I depress the brake pedal to start my car, the push to start button blinks amber, and if i press it, only the accessories come on. Really trying to not go to the dealership to get it fixed if I can. Anyone have had any similar problems?

Hi, Im having the same problem with my 2014 Mazda 3 shown in your video
and described in your subsequent posts. So far, my Mazda dealer service dept has been no help. What did you do to remedy the problem? Much appreciated.

Just want to save people a lot of time, money and heartache.

my brother had very weird problems with his car. (2015 Mazda 3) TCS light and tire pressure light while driving first. followed by stuck in park while trying to get his mail. finally it would not start. Jumped his car, fired right up, went into gear and the next day came over to fix it.

I thought it was his alternator so replaced it on a serious time crunch so he could get to work without doing much troubleshooting (amateur move). After the alternator replacement car fired right up and I followed him the 20 miles to work. about 2 miles from his job he called me and said the lights on dash were back but he made it there atleast. Tried to start the car again and nothing but I heard the starter firing.

and after testing the battery (2 months old), replacing his alternator, checking all fuses I finally found the problem. It is a $14 dollar switch behind the brake pedal. Brake light switch or stop lamp switch is what its called. It is a blue switch and takes 4 minutes to replace. I gladly paid $44 at my local carquest and she is running like new.

Hope this helps people.
