Hi all,
I have recently purchased a second hand 2013 Mazda3 Skyactiv 2.0, this is already my third mazda3 since the 1st gen, i love all the new stuff especially the 'Advance key' and the 'i-stop'.
The sales person (not from original Mazda dealer)had my original battery replaced for free right before delivering the vehicle, however, i am now experiencing issues with the amber i-stop flashing, i have read thru some of the posts here and have tried to reset and relearn the i-stop function, indeed, the flashing amber i-stop light did go off, but then it started flashing again on the other day.
I then started thinking this might be due to an incorrect battery, so i checked the battery under the hood and it's Panasonic Q-55 type battery (stated also for Start/Stop Engine), however, it states on the use manual that only Q-85 type battery should be installed.
now, my question is, what is the difference between Q-55 and Q-85? could it be the possible cause that the amber flahing i-stop keeps returning after resetting ?

thanks guys.

Even though the battery is 12 volt, it is specifically designed for use with the i-ELOOP system. It's designated as a Q85 type battery, and is currently only available through Mazda. When replacing an i-ELOOP equipped vehicle's battery, be sure to install the correct Q85 type battery. from:https://rts.i-car.com/collision-repair-news/mazda-i-eloop-overview.html

this is for a 2015 but should apply to your 2013 as well, I-stop is included in this thread http://mazda3revolution.com/forums/...ics/172618-battery-replacement-questions.html
