I have a 2012 Mazda 3 Touring hatchback with SkyActive transmission and 79k miles that has about a 5 to 7 second delay when shifting from Reverse to Drive first thing in the morning when it is cold. It only does it the one time and after that it will not do it again until the car sits overnight and transmission is cold. Took it to a locale Transmission shop and they said the electronics check out OK so it must be mechanical and would need a rebuild. I find it hard the transmission needs a rebuild. The transmission was serviced around 60k last year (Aug 17). It started doing this before I had it serviced last year and has not gotten any worse since it started.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue or know what could be causing this? Thanks
