Hi everybody, this is my first post on the forums here. Hopefully it's appropriate material for this sub!

I just bought an Avital 2101L keyless entry system for my 2011 Mazda3. The car already has power doors, so I won't need to put in any hardware outside of a signal receiver. However, I haven't attempted any wiring on my car before, so I'm trying to assemble as much information as I can on the car and the product before I make the decision on whether or not to attempt it or bring it into a dealer and have them install it.

I haven't been able to find any keyless entry installation videos up for the 2010-2013 Mazda3s. I've seen some abstract wiring diagrams online for the Mazda3, but at my current level of understanding they are more confusing than helpful. Are there any great resources out there for someone in my position?

Im in the same boat as you. I just bought a 2010 3S with the 2.5 and it also has the Bose system and handsfree bluetooth. I had assumed keyless entry was standard in the 21st century but when I bought my car the previous owner only had a single key for it.

Im going to take it to a locksmith and see if they can scan the car for a factory installed wireless entry system (my gut tells me somethings gotta be there already or at least prewired to make an install easy)

Itll be sometime in the next month or so but Ill let you know what I find put when I do get it installed. (If you havent already finished your install by then).

just wondering what you found. I just bought a 2011 i-sport sedan, and would like to do the same.
So I finally got this done last week. Took it to a locksmith. They cut the key, copied the RFID chip from the one key to the new key and then followed the mazda directions to program the remote. Open the door 4 times, turn the car on and off, jump up and down on one foot while pulling on your ear.... etc... not sure what it is exactly but I think you can find the directions if you Google it.

The keyless entry was standard package when they made the car so nothing had to be added.
