Have a question hopefully someone can answer. I replaced the power steering pump and took it to a dealer to have it programmed. Mazda tech says that the pump took the programming, but there is an issue with communication between computer and pump. After diagnosis, I was quoted 3k to replace main wire harness as that is now the issue. I can't justify or afford to put that much money into a vehicle right now. Is there a way to possibly drive the car as-is by unplugging the harness going into the power steering pump? I know if it is left plugged in it could possibly burn out the motor and blow another high pressure line. Any help is appreciated as this is my only vehicle right now and am unfamiliar with this type of issue.
