2010 Mazdaspeed3 0-60 is 5.2sec, is this accurate ??

This is a Motor Week Article from last year is this accurate. why would it be 5.2sec going from 0-60 for them and other articles say 6.2

I dont have a speed3, but with sticky tires and a strong launch 5.2 should be a realistic number.

Its a very fast car I owned a evo8mr, all I can say is, "WOW" but I seriously this they should do some retesting on those number. Do you Agree?

Yea, 5.2 is very fast and crazy fast for a FWD car. I had a Ford Lightning that was quoted at 5.1, 0 - 60 and it felt like it. The mazda 3 I test drove was quick, but didnt make me say," WOW"

I'm curios, for 3 grand more why didn't you get the Speed3????? I was trying to get the EVO X and STI but the banks would only approve me for the Speed3. so I had no choice, but Im glad for the bank to save me extra doe and am satisfied

I lease cars these days. The lease on the speed 3 was over $150mo. Did didn't make sense to me. I do have other works in the project for HSPD so my Mazda 3 it pretty much just daily driver.

mine is $357 a month.. and i love it so.. buying rims is my next thing.. I have had my car for a week and a half now.. already upgraded the motor mount. and plan on geting an Cobb intake tomorrow.. i want a all Cobb Tuning car.

I have a hard time seeing the 2010 MS3 doing a 0-60 in 5.2 sec. Closer to 6 is what I would think.

i think stock is around 5.2 - 5.7 depending on the driver. I have seen all kinds of numbers posted. I would bet mine is under 5 seconds, guess i will have to test it.

PS. Car going in on monday to have front end fixed. I am meeting with my MOD shop tomorrow to go over engine build. Looking at total rebuild(bore, pistons, rods, turbo). Should see 500whp to 550whp, depending on boost levels. I was told i have to break it in for 2000miles before i can exceed 3000rpms. Guess when its done, i will drive to NY and back
