2010 Mazda 3 Sport Fog Light Repair

Just purchased a used 2010 Mazda 3 Sport for my son's first car. The driver's side fog light is busted. By busted I mean that it appears that the assembly/housing is broken. The lens looks good but it is just hanging loose in the bumper. I want to look at fixing this myself and I am wondering if I need to remove the entire bumper cover or is there a way to just pull the fog light cover off so I can see what is broken. It would seem to me like the fog light cover should be easy to pull for the inspection. If there is another way to do this please let me know.
