Hello guys. So I have done some research and notice that quite a few mazdas have had this issue. I went to my local dealership to see if I was still under warranty and unfortunately I am not covered. So if anyone can please help. Is there a way I Can fix this issue?

There's an open recall for this. I'm not sure why that dealership turned you down. Try a different one.

I'm on the phone with Mazdacare right now and the CSR says that it's a 7-year from original purchase warranty extension (no mileage limit). If you don't know when the vehicle was originally purchased, Mazda can tell you. My warranty extension apparently expires on May 25th, 2019. I'll be bringing in my car this friday (December 21st) to do the lift-strut replacement (safety recall) and the dashboard repair. both free of charge.
