Hey guys... newbie here. I've spent many hours on Miata forums over the years but purchased a 2009 Mazda 3 S for my daughter a few months ago. what a great car! I've had to do a little tinkering to get it right but its a nice little ride. The AC is usually so cold you almost cant stand it, but this afternoon - nothing! Yesterday, her boyfriend put gas in the car and forgot to put the fuel cap back on and that triggered a check engine evap warning. The check engine light came on, the AC stopped working... maybe a coincidence. I have checked the fuses and the relay as well as the small connector next to the cabin air filter. the unit has a good freon level so it's not that. Compressor issues? She leaves for college in 2 days and you need AC in August in Alabama.
any input would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Any luck? I take it the clutch never engages? If it could be something strangely related to the CEL, disconnect the battery to reset the ECU?
