So looking like having to do an engine swap after my sp23 went kaput at 220,000km, 140k ish miles.
Have no compression at all in cylinder 2 and very little in cylinder 1 there was about 2L of coolant/water that came out the drain plug with 2.5Lish oil. Oil on base of plug one, plugs are old but still good as are coil packs. So picking cracked head.
I have a 2006 auto model, probably a stupid question but is there anything different with mounting etc between the manual and auto engines for swaps, and what years/models are going to be able to be swapped in? Is there much extra involved in upgrading to a 2.5L series engine?
