So looking like having to do an engine swap after my sp23 went kaput at 220,000km, 140k ish miles.
Have no compression at all in cylinder 2 and very little in cylinder 1 there was about 2L of coolant/water that came out the drain plug with 2.5Lish oil. Oil on base of plug one, plugs are old but still good as are coil packs. So picking cracked head.
I have a 2006 auto model, probably a stupid question but is there anything different with mounting etc between the manual and auto engines for swaps, and what years/models are going to be able to be swapped in? Is there much extra involved in upgrading to a 2.5L series engine?

how did you go ...
i have an 2008 sp23 engine an manual to swap to an 04 sp23 auto.
I was looking for info on the swap so as to have some idea of what is to be done!!!
did you get yours running.?
i bought mine with a big end gone and a stat write off for the engine and box to swap!
