No issues here since switching to the correct viscosity. What are you currently using?

 

I only have 2,000 miles on mine so I'm not sure I even have the issue. My VIN also falls outside of the range impacted so I'm hoping I'm good. I was curious how they plan on fixing it for those that have the issue.

I think so too. Most likely valve stem seals.

 

I own a Mazda 6 that falls into this category....this is going to be a major problem for these cars and mine only has 2700 miles on it. Just found out about this TSB 2 days ago and I can't believe what I'm reading about the valve seal modification. What was wrong with all the 2.5 turbo valve seals before 2021? We are talking about a lot of vehicles here.

 

Just did a trip from London, Ontario Canada. To Florida and back in my 2.5 Turbo Mazda3 with over 35,000km on the Engine before I left for the trip... Trip was around 5000km. Oil level after the trip had not changed.. I have not noticed any oil consumption from my 2.5T It sees over 5000RPM almost daily.

 

It's a 2021 built before Sept. '21?
