Hello everyone,

Just bought a 2012 mazdaspeed 3 with a hole through the block. I was wondering what short block I could use to get her running. I found a fusion 2.5L whole engine for a great price ($400) and was hoping this would work.

If anyone can shed some light on this idea I would greatly appreciate it.

Im guessing rods and pistons won't be as strong, and maybe theres differences in the head. If its just the head I dont mind swapping absolutely everything over. But if theres major rod and piston differences, then I probably won't continue. But take into account Ill be saving around $2000 this way.

Ps I'll just be dailying her.

I ended up getting a 1st gen engine assembly with bad compression for practically free...

Now what im thinking is that I can use the head off the original engine and re ring the low compression motor
