I own a 2012 Mazda 3i and it needs some work and somebody not far from me has a 04 Mazda 3s for sale no title for parts just wondering what systems of them are the same appreciate any help I can get

hard to say, there’s a lot of parts to cover, I assume you mean engine parts though.. best bet would be to look up the oem schematics with the original part numbers between the two cars and compare. That’s quite a large year difference though.
