rainsensing

My 2014 GS model has the rain-sensing wipers. It's extremely sensitive to any rain. If there is ANY water at all, even mist, the wipers run every second or faster. Turning the sensitivity up only makes it run more frequently. Is that normal for others? I'd prefer a manual intermittent feature...
