First post on the forums but I have been on the forums for a little while.
I am a fresh face when it comes to cars, got my first car recently which is a mazda 3s 2010 hatchback.
I have looked around the forum and see that the options for intakes are the simota and corksport ones.
I have 6K miles on my 2010. I have a corksport intake and its the only mod Ive done that would possibly cause this. Ive been using the intake for months with no problems. Recently the car will randomly bog (totally cut out all accelerating power 100%) and it will kick in and out a...
sup all i need members here to help me on cold air intakes. i was thinking about the corksport because a mazda member tested it out and sounds very nice. hit meeh up on my 411.
my choices if it does fit:
Now I've been looking into all possible options for an intake for our new 2010 MAZDASPEED 3. I found that K&N has come up with a Typhoon CAI solution. They claim power gains up to 22.4 HP. My question is whether that is really possible without installing anything else or tuning it somehow? I...
I have been doing some reading, and it seems to me that if you add an air intake, you increase your miles per gallon by 1-2. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I'm looking to get the most mpg out of my vehicle.
Hello all. I have been reading on performance mods on this forum and I see a lot for the corksport intake. I know that AEM made one for previous years. Do they make one for the 2010 Speed 3? If so any comparisons with the Corksport model? Thanks
It's true, our 2010 MZ3 Short Ram Intakes are now available with three new anodizing colors on the Mass Airflow Sensors: Blue, Red and Gold. There's a $5 premium for these colors as we are doing them in smaller batches which costs a bit more for the anodizing, inventory costs, etc.
I have seen alot of people with the CorkSport Short Ram Intake system for there 2010 Mazda 3 four door sedan. I was thinking of getting one but woulod like to make sure I wont void the mazda factory warranty. For any of you Mazda Guru's your feedback is greatly appreciated.
I am selling my Corksport intake for 2010 Mazdaspeed3. It was on my car a week and I decided to go with the CP-E Nano SRI due to ease of installation/removal in the event I have to visit a dealer. There is nothing wrong with this intake, it fit well, looks great, and delivered a significant...

the dual port got here first.. i was woudering if i could put the dual port bov without a problem with teh stock air box for now? any problems u guys think?
I installed my Corksport intake and inlet on my 2010 MS3. The directions were incredibly detailed, anyone with a bit of patience can do this. Great sound and no CEL in this cold weather.
I left the oem plastic intake pipe that goes from the grill to the oem intake box on the car. The pipe points...
Well I was finally got home and had MOD's in boxes just asking to be installed, so I intalled the Corksport Intake and Race pipe with the CP-E Motor Mount. I also changed the oil at the same time to Amsoil Premium Synthetic!
Intake and Race Pipe - Pretty much the same exact comments as others...
I had already posted this on the MazdaSpeed Forums, but I thought I would share my CP-E CAI Install post here too!
Oh boy! CP-E got me their 2nd gen CAI intake basically next day, and I finally got to put it in this evening.
My friend has access to a lift and the whole thing took less than an...
I have a 3 S six speed and have heard the 3's with an auto have an opening to route air to the transmission cooler. Is it possible to route a Cold Air Intake to the opening that would route air to the transmission cooler?
I'm thinking that would be a good spot and maintain a stock look.
was staring at the CAI i had for my 05 maz3, and decided to fit it into my 2010 3 sedan 2.5, everything worked out amazing, fits perfectly, a little bit of re-routing due to the diff. shape, but all is good, sounds great, sounds really great, and performance is minimal, afterall...
