i have a brand new 2014 mazda 3 sport touring with bi-xenon headlights. i was driving back from jay peak, vermont at 2am and it was about -10 degrees.

The rest of the frame and undercarriage seem rather solid, but that one area makes me nervous.

I test drove a brand new Mazda 3 last weekend. My 03 Protege with 107,000 miles still runs strong, but I am interetsed in purchasing a 2nd car. I was really concerned that there was no temp guage in the new 3. As I drove it, I couldn't tell when the car was warmed up so I could turn on the heat...
Is anyone else concerned with the lack of Engine Temperature information in the vehicle? (Maybe I'm a noob and havn't found it yet....)
It's nice to know when the vehicle has gotten to it's optimal engine temp. Then I know it's safe to flog it around.
